I had an emergency situation on a hot day. Cameron answered the phone and was very professional. He informed me that, although they were booked for the day, they were able to come out after hours. He then explained that it would be at a higher rate (this is completely understandable and what I would expect from any service call business.) I was then given the option for setting an appointment for the next business day (it was a Friday, so it would have been Monday).
I opted for the after hours service. A short while later, Cameron called and informed me that one of his technicians had some time to come out now and that I would not have to pay the higher after hours rate. The problem was quickly diagnosed and repaired by Drew for what I consider to be a very reasonable fee. I highly recommend 217.

The 217 plumber, Doug came to my home to repair a shower head that had come loose. Doug reinstalled the shower head. and he checked the sinks in the three bathrooms which had worn/deteriorated over the years. They would not hold water in the basins. He needed some new plugs which he will bring at a later date. Doug is very professional, knowledgeable, honest and friendly. I have great confidence in Doug and 217, Inc. to deal with my plumbing issues that arise from time to time. I recommend them without reservation.

Our furnace stopped working on one of the coldest days of the year. We asked a family member for a recommendation, and he told us to call 217, Inc. Amazing service! Jordan exceeded my expectations when he came to service our furnace. Placed a call into 217 at 7:30 am and received a call at 8:00 am to let me know Jordan would be coming between 10 and 12. Jordan called me at 9:40 am to let me know he would be here in 15 min. He looked at the furnace and suspected 2 possible issues as to why it was not working. He ordered a circuit board, which was in stock, so he went to pick it up. Came back to find the issue was not the circuit board so he removed the gas valve, ran back out to pick it up, replaced it and everything was up and running.
He was extremely thorough, professional, knowledgeable, credible and trustworthy. I was looking at a smart thermostat so instead of trying to sell me on using their services to install it, he checked to make sure it could be installed and walked me through exactly what to do. They are local, family owned and I will be signing up for their preventative maintenance program for both our furnace and AC system (a great deal that will save me money in the long run). If you are having any heating issues, call 217!

Great service and follow through on multiple plumbing jobs. Their employees have integrity. Multiple times, they've been in a position to pressure me into expensive jobs and instead told me to go with a cheaper option. In fact, I asked them to come to my house once to do a job, and they convinced me it wasn't necessary and left without charging me. Highly recommended!

Both times that I have called 217, they have responded promptly and professionally. They have helped me de-root tree roots from our sewer line, and fix a toilet clog that could not be cracked by my plunger. Their plumbers go the extra mile by providing advice--what type of toilet paper to use, how to take care of the tree roots regularly, plunger recommendations--and are never condescending. They are on the pricier end.

We've used 217 for years and have always been taken good care of but yesterday they went to a whole new level. We had a loss in our family yesterday morning and our family began to arrive from around the country. Our daughter, after traveling all day, jumped in the shower and there was no hot water. We called 217 last night and Patrick didn't hesitate for a moment. Our boiler system is unusual and he had to have the supply warehouse opened for him to get the parts.
As he came in and out of the house he was so friendly and confident and put us completely at ease, knowing we'd be back up and running before he left. Thank you 217 and thank you Patrick! We have several family members who are hoping for a 217 shirt!

Went to turn on my furnace last week, and we were without heat. Igniter wouldn't go, so I called 217 at about 10pm on a Saturday. They picked up immediately, and we set an appointment for the next day. They came out on time, diagnosed the problem immediately, and then solved it within the next hour. The technician, Patrick, was friendly and very knowledgeable. The service charge was a little steep ($120), but for a quick resolution to the problem, it was worth it. Would definitely recommend.

Had an issue at one of my apartments with a valve to the water heater. One of the pipes broke and water was beginning to gush into the apartment. Paul DeBolt was the technician working at my apartment that day. For at least 30 minutes he kept his foot on the pipe to keep water from getting into the apartment, to the point where his foot was getting numb lol. If he hadn't done that I would have had a major cleanup on my hands and would've cost me even more money. Paul went above and beyond for me!

I was very pleased with these guys. They not only found and fixed the gas leak in my furnace but also discovered that a bird had built a nest in the exhaust pipe and fixed that as well. The person who actually called me on the phone to set up the appointment, (unfortunately, I don't remember his name) was very pleasant and patient on the phone, not many people like that anymore! Thanks guys!
