We moved into a home in Green River during the summer months. When winter came, we turned our (2 year old) 100k btu gas furnace on. It would turn on and off 3 times before throwing a code. Had Vaughn's come out to fix it. They replaced all internals to the furnace - system board, switches, sensors, pump, etc and charged us over $1000.00. The problem persisted. The came out again and this included a "scope" of the exhaust and intake systems (they said they found nothing).
They charged us another large bill $$$. Finally, I found that the exhaust pipe which led to the outside of the house had been filled with rocks (former owner had small children), which caused the exhaust back-pressure sensor to trip the system. I cleaned it out and the system has run fine ever since. Vaughn's repeatedly told me that we needed a new furnace. To their credit they did reverse the charges on the second set of fees but we still had to pay the first set which was a lot of cash for no reason. Make your own decision here.
