Drove behind one of your guys on I-70 from Wanamaker entrance all the way to Burlingame & out of the three times I was looking your employee switching lanes could not take the time to use a turn signal to let others of his intentions. Do you send your employees through defensive driving classes? Apparently not. You are a business, a local one. Be an example to others out in public.

Turn your headlights on and use your turn signals seconds before switching lanes would be a nice start. Makes your company look bad in the eyes of the public. This is what the van looked like which ended up turning into the Cardlock parking lot.

These guys are so good they called me the day before my appointment and asked to fix my sump pump BEFOR the heavy rains came. Great job!

We had our kitchen faucet stop working over Labor Day weekend. McElroys was the only plumber to call us back. They worked with us over the phone to diagnose the issue and insure that we could leave on our trip and take care of the problem when we returned. They were professional and courteous and took care of the issue in a timely manner. We will be using them from now on.

These guys are amazing! I have used them for years at my business and home. I can always count on them to arrive on time and get the job done right. The workmanship is top notch. As a third generation builder and master electrician as well as being EPA 608 certified, I can tell you they are just another company disinterested in anything but overpriced work for unaware customers. I will never use them nor recommend their service. Of the three times I've called them they refused to come every time.(I live in Lawrence), citing "no interest in that type of work" (servicing a system because they didn't do the original install).

You guys came here for a free estimate on my furnace but your free estimate came to the conclusions I needed to replace my furnace. I decided to get a second opinion from Dunco they were great come to find out that paying 74.00 dollars for a service call I found out my ignitor was bad. They replaced my ignitor and waived my service fee. Not to mention dunco was a lot friendlier.

My home's central A/C went out. It was blowing air, but not cooling my home. I called McElroy's to come out and fix it. A repairman came out on 9/17/19. I was not home at the time, but my wife was, he "fixed" it and charged $ 220.58. I had no idea what he did as he did not leave a receipt. I called and requested a receipt and a call back from the repairman to find out what he did.

I never received a receipt or a call back. I called McElroy's again the person who answered the phone said the repairman had added refrigerant to my system. I asked if the repairman had looked for or fixed the leak. She said, no. I then asked why they filled the system with refrigerant because if they did not fix the leak then the refrigerant would leak out again.

She said the repairman would call me. The repairman never called me. My A/C quit working on 9/20/19 (three days after the "repair"). An A/C system is a closed system, so if it is low on refrigerant then there is a leak, and if you add refrigerant to a leaking system then of course it will leak out again. To this day no one from McElroy's has ever called me, nor have I ever been provided with a receipt.

I had to call a new HVAC repair man fix my problem. He asked me how much refrigerant McElroy's added so he could know how bad the leak was. I had no idea how much refrigerant was added because McElroy's never provided me with a receipt and never returned my calls. The new repair man notified me that to add refrigerant to an A/C system without first fixing the leak is a common scam in the HVAC industry, and that unfortunately I had been scammed.

They came out today to service AC. When they were here last time to do heating the serviceman mentioned we'd get some upgrade at this visit, new filters would come with upgrade. Cost would be 0$. Didn't believe it, but fine. Thankfully I asked today about price and it was going to be over 250$ to upgrade both units. That upgrade program has apparently ceased, was a very obvious bait and switch.

The response to my obvious frustration was basically "the last guy should have performed that upgrade last visit". Spurlings thanks you McElroy's bc you just gave them free business. Will never allow this company in my home again At least they were kind enough to offer us the choice to upgrade one at a time if price was the issue, no principle was the issue

Regretfully, I do not recommend McElroy's. I scheduled an appointment to have them work on my range, so I took the day off of work so I could be home. I waited and waited and they never showed up. Their office said they forgot about me and we rescheduled. Took another day off of work (again without pay) and luckily they showed up this time. The workers were nice and the repair they did seems fine, however once the bill came I was disappointment.

The bill was $400 more than the cost they quoted me. More than anything, I was irritated that they get paid by the 1/4 hour and they spent 45 minutes sitting in my driveway after they were finished. I got charged for that. I also got charged for the time it took them to drive to my residence. Luckily I didn't get charged for the day they didn't show up, but it wouldn't have surprised me.

We have used McElroy's Inc. for many years, for AC & Heating, Plumbing, and whenever we need electrical service we will ask them for that service too. Their quality of work is always excellent, they provide choices of what product to use, and we are able to have a selection of choices. When there is an emergency you can count on them to react as quickly as possible.

We have total confidence in their professional staff and their technicians, and we have never been disappointed. You get what you pay for, and we are satisfied that we have always received our moneys worth. Remember that expression, "its worth every penny".

Our furnace suddenly stopped working overnight and our home was freezing by morning. I began calling around first thing. The first 5 companies said they couldn't come out at all, and one said they'd only come out during overtime hours (higher rate). But then I spoke with Julie at McElroys who understood my urgency and had someone at my home in 4 hours.

The tech showed up and did a thorough evaluation of my issues and was able to get us restored a few hours later. I am completely satisfied with the costs, and extremely thankful for the service they provided. Thank you McElroys - you're now my go to!

I needed an urgent & important plumbing problem addressed but was soliticing free advice as I couldn't afford a service call. I was connected right away with one of their plumbers who was very friendly, kind & caring that answered my all questions. I had already called another company & their receptionist had taken my message but after 24 hours, they had not returned my call. Actually, it's been 10 days now & they have NEVER returned my call to this day! Do you think I'm gonna call them for a service call someday? NOT!

I called them for an emergency repair of my air conditioning - left a voicemail the night before at 7:30pm and NO ONE BOTHERED TO even RETURN MY CALL. Ended up going with someone else who, thankfully, was there at 8am the next day.

McElroy's has been our preferred service provider for years and we've always had good experiences. Calls are returned in a timely fashion, techs are prompt and knowledgeable. Really appreciate that they service plumbing, HVAC, and electrical. They've worked on our bathroom pipes, installed our furnace, and addressed various electrical issues. Appreciate being able to call one company that I know I can trust.

McElroys came over on a Sunday to fix my languishing AC unit. Not only was the tech prompt but he had the part on his truck and was gone in under twenty minutes. He saved myself and my family a lot of high temperature worry.

This is still a top notch business. I started using them in 2009 for a plumbing problem (probably earlier) and just used them again. The plumbing problem they fixed lickety split. They were on time, communicative and reasonable. I just had a heating problem, both with the heater and a different company. The other company wouldn't do what McElroy's would do, which was fix the fan.

The tech was on time, communicative, thorough, and did exactly what was asked. The tech also provided a few tips on making the unit work more efficiently and last longer. They took payment over the phone and the entire experience was hassle free. I would trust them with my mother and sisters without a second thought. Thank you McElroy's. You are my go to company for plumbing and now HVAC.
