The customer service at this company is atrocious. I have been rescheduled and cancelled on multiple times after providing a down payment and being repeatedly assured that service would be performed during the scheduled appointment. I will update this review if they ever actually fix the air conditioning but so far we are going on week 5.

Over-promised, over-charged, and now harassing me to pay the balance of an invoice for work that was not completed by them. I hired Magnolia to finish installing a mini-split HVAC system that was started by another company, but that GC and I parted ways. Magnolia promised that they had a condenser in stock and convinced me to cancel an order with another company, while charging more for the same product.

That promise was false and I still had to wait several weeks for delivery. Along the way towards waiting for installation, I had to remind them to come and run a control wire before I put walls up in the house, a time they could have spent to also trace line sets and the like and generally prepare for the work that would be more difficult when walls were put in.

Once installation day finally came, their install team did some things okay, but they admitted that they had never installed this type of Mitsubishi system before and spent hours on the phone with Mitsubishi tech support. Those line sets I mentioned? Well, they didn't trace them and ended up wiring things incorrectly on a second day for a job that should have taken one day.

I received some excuse from a manager that they would have to come back out with some sort of heat sensing thermal camera--of course at additional cost. Then they disappeared for months. I emailed and texted the install manager on when they would come back to finish, troubleshoot their mistakes, and install covers. Nothing. I ended up hiring a third company to fix the installation.

That company knew what it was doing, traced the line sets using common sense instead of a thermal camera, fixed the wiring mistakes and got the system running in a few hours. Finally, I was happy, and thought all was okay since I had already paid Magnolia a significant sum. However, Magnolia's billing department surfaced like a greedy Jaws wannabe and tried to get me to pay for work they never finished (and was completed by that other company). Unbelievable.

Do not be fooled by their shiny vans. This is a terrible company and they will fleece you given the chance. For the amount they charge for service, one would expect a much more professional and worry-free experience. Not so. Avoid them.

Stay away from this company. I called them because they are in my neighborhood and I want to support them but they are very expensive and they charged me $1250, to unclog the line and charged $75 dispatch fee. $400 to take the toilet out and put it back. Very poor service and unprofessional. Never use them again.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality Scheduled an appointment. They didn't show up. I can't work from home so I had to take a day off and they still didn't show. Avoid them if you need a timely and professional service

Magnolia Plumbing Service. A couple of days ago I noticed water was leaking from my hot water tank. Call around for estimates for a tankless water system but was shock at the prices. I call several companies for the estimate and decided to go with a regular tank water heater. I chose Magnolia Plumbing to replace my tank. The plumbing service technician was mainly why I chose this company.

He followed up that night with a call to see if I made a decision to go with his company. He saw that my water was ready to go and to call in the morning if I had any problems. Sure enough, that night the water tank fail and water all over the place. I called the plumbing technician Pasquale Skok, he call back and told he would check his schedule and see if he could come that morning.

He did come and installed my new water heater and this is the first time that I received such great service from a Plumbing company. Magnolia Plumbing your technician is a true value to your company. He is probably why I will do business with your company in the future. As long as to send Pasquale to do the job. Thanks Pasquale for your sincere help. Alonzo F

Duane was awesome. The services were expensive but it was an emergency. Duane explained well everything they were doing and worked very quickly. They tidied up after themselves and even offered to help with some other bits and pieces that needed doing for no charge. Would definitely use magnolia again and Duane in particular. Services: Repair pipe, Unclog drain

I found out today that I was charged for a HVAC valve fix that was a simple wiring issue, informed by another FAR BETTER company, and it moved me to write this review. HOMEOWNERS BEWARE! They will take advantage, did not do a thorough job, and will charge extremely high costs for subpar service. I called Magnolia years ago and received some of the worst service from a HVAC and plumbing company I have ever experienced, and the costs are astronomical.

The service technicians themselves were hit or miss. The plumber took 4 hours to install a toilet! The toilet is to this day, still not level, even with the "spacers" - it is a nicer toilet, and there is no reason why they couldn't manage to install it properly. Next, as mentioned, they charged me more than $500 for a HVAC valve issue that ended up being a problem with a Nest thermostat (which was the culprit) because I got a brand new HVAC last year (with that far better company) and was having the same issues.

What a rip off and what a terrible company! I complained at that time and no one ever even bothered to look into it. Because of the "invoice" and lack of clarity on the work done, Nest wouldn't take any responsibility because the HVAC tech didn't do his part to clarify what happened.
