Critical: Professionalism Just wanted to Share that I've seen one of their vans cut off incoming traffic from both sides also running their stop sign. Not a good look.

Not sure what to think of this company as the reviews are pretty good. I set an appointment for AC maintenance, specifically to top off my refrigerant, if needed. The tech showed up a few minutes after the 30 minute window which was not a big deal. Anyway, the tech could not tell me the tonnage or btu of my unit. I had to walk him through figuring it out. 36000 btus or about 3 tons, btw.

I told him I specifically wanted to see if I needed refrigerant as the cleaning is secondary as cleaning is simple. He hooked up his gauges and said based on the pressure, I was 1 to 2 lbs short. My system only hold around 5 lbs. He connects the refrigerant canister and after 15 minutes, my system had accepted zero refrigerant. He then says, maybe a valve is stuck, forget which valve he said.

I then suggested the issue was that it was only 58 F outside which is too cold to properly check the AC accurately. He agreed. He was supposed to have someone call and schedule me a new appointment to properly check my refrigerant level for May 19th or May 20th. So far, 2:30 PM following day and no calls. He also said to come back would cost me an hourly rate plus the R22 cost, if needed.

Not acceptable to pay labor for a return visit when they couldn't complete the job on the first visit 2 problems. 1. The company should have known it was too cold to check my system properly/accurately. And I requested that my refrigerant be topped off if needed. So, the technician left not knowing if the system was low in refrigerant or not. Very least, they could have a had an AC tent for checking systems when the temp is too cold. 2.

Since I requested my refrigerant level to be checked when I made the appointment, I should not have to pay for them to come back out. They should send someone out and then I would pay for any refrigerant needed. I ended up paying $90 for the technician to tell me he did not know if I needed refrigerant. Kind of dumbfounding to me. And he spent 5 minutes rinsing crud out of the fins which I did last fall, simple job.

Instead of checking my filter, he asked if he needed to check it. So, at this point for $90, I got my ac coils sprayed with water, not knowing if I need refrigerant, no follow up phone call, etc. The hilarious thing out of all of this, I made the appointment a week ago. They were booked for a week during our heat wave checking ac systems they installed in cooler weather to see if they worked properly.

Then they send someone to check my system on a 58 F day. My rating will go either up or down, depending on what happens next. Rating goes down as I still never got the follow up call that was promised.

Once again JML did a stand up job! They replaced my old furnace. I have been using them for several years for a few units I own. They are always on time, complete work efficiently, and at a price you feel good about. I will continue to use them, and recommend them to family and friends. Service: Heating system installation

UPDATE #2 after 2months and having the credit card company agree that they overcharged me. The company FRAUDULENTLY RE-CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD. Maybe I need to file a law suit against them for using my card without my permission. UPDATE:: just received a call from JML fasted they have been with service. I was told they saw the reviews and they would be happy to refund me my money but they need to come take the gas valve and thermostat back.

No sorry for your experience. No sorry you feel cheated. No how can we make it better. PURE TRASH! ------------- They charged me $150 for a $50 thermostat and $500 for a $145-$200 gas valve. I had to wait and waste my time because they were not prepared with the necessary parts. A job that should have been started and completed on Thursday was completely Saturday morning.

Not to mention they were late consistently. Never again! I have already requested a refund for the overpayment. Taking advantage of people is not ok. Times are hard enough but the level of deceit lets me know they will never set foot in my house or any of my family in the area.

I was in a real pinch and these group helped me out fast. They were fast, efficient, and fair. Will no doubt use them again.

JML came out on a Saturday to assess my AC issues and replaced my AC soon afterwards. Jon, the owner, is great to work with and the guys who came out to do the work (Rudy and Mike) were also fantastic. Margie in the office returns all calls quickly and was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend JML and will use again for all of my heating and cooling needs.

Look no further for a professional qualified HVAC company in the Northwest Suburbs. This past fall 2020, we were in the market for a new Mitsubishi ductless HVAC system for our newly remodeled family room addition. We found JML through Mitsubishi as a certified installer. Jon is a straight forward no-nonsense owner who listens to his customers concerns and provides the best solutions.

The price was extremely competitive for the complete install. The team was really meticulous with sealing up the 3 hole in the house for the refrigerant lines to ensure no wind driven rain would seep in. Feels great to support local business and find a dependable company. Will use them from now on for tune-ups and any other HVAC needs.

JML now has a new customer for life. They were quick, friendly, and responsive. The two different techs we have dealt with have been incredibly friendly, respecful, and work really fast. Thier pricing was also very reasonable. Definitely give these folks a call.

The JML team is great. Responsive, knowledgeable and HONEST. I've been using them since 2007 and have had great experiences every time. Air conditioning went out over the holiday weekend. Jon was there the next day and everything is working fine. I recommended him to all my friends without reservation and they have all been happy.

JML Is it exceptional company! Jon the owner walked me through the entire process of converting my three flat from radiators (from 1924 no less) to forced air and AC. His team is hard working and extremely trustworthy. I am a single Mom and no nothing about renovation. They explained everything as they went along and Jon answered my every call during the entire process This company has reasonable rates and doesn't over charge. I will continue to use them for all of heating and cooling needs! I can't recommend them enough!
