Greg at Icy is the man! After 4 dishonest AC companies gave us a catastrophic diagnosis of our unit, Greg had the AC up and running in one hour. He is honest and does great work. He told me everything that was happening as he fixed it and basically saved us from triple digit Burbank heat that we had been suffering through for 6 days. Wish we would've called Icy Air from day one. Best part is Greg called the next day to make sure the air was still functioning properly. 10

Me and my team have been using Icy AC for several months and have found the service to be extremely good! Greg is very responsive, reasonable priced, honest, and timely. There are a lot of crooked HVAC companies out there and I am sure glad to have found one that I like! I hope to continue working with Icy for years to come!

This is an update to a previous review of ICY Air Conditioning: It's been 6 years since I last saw Greg and all is well, except, I forgot that he told me to clean the filter every once in a while. I returned from a 3 week trip away and the cold air refused to blow. I gave him a call Monday and we scheduled for Wednesday. He actually remembered me and the cat and I told him about the two rescue dogs since and he asked if I cleaned the filter, I said "oops".

He cleaned it then checked out the roof; turns out the roofers had knocked it into the off position. He asked if I wanted to pay ($150) now or work it out first with the HOA. I paid him because he came out quickly, cleaned the filter and is an honest guy. He could have said it was something else, but didn't. HOA paid and all is well. Still, 5 stars. I really recommend ICY. Clean your filters.

So when you have an old AC system like I do, you end up having the chance to review your favorite AC repair man every few years. So here I go again. Greg is the man. About to need some bigger work on the system and he's my guy.

He took $300 to repair the heat on my unit, but incorrectly installed the part, where it would trip the circuit breaker every time. He said he would come back to fix it, with a different part. He left, never came back. Called him up a few times, and he never calls me back to fix his error. I had to pay another $200 to bring out a different company, Bryant Heating and AC to fix the problem. Do yourself a favor do not call this guy, he is unreliable and doesnt have the courtesy to call you back or leave you in state where you can have the circuit breakers on.

My heater recently stopped working on 12/30/15. I called Greg from Icy Air Conditioning the following day. He showed up the same day. So far so good. I told him what the issue was, that the furnace motor wasn't coming on. His assessment was that the Safety Check for the furnace had been tripped and that I needed to change my filter. He replaced the filter with a $2 filter. Charged me $95.00 for the service call and asked me to call him if the unit shuts off again.

I paid his fee and provided a tip as well. I asked him if he was sure that was the filter, could it be something else? Maybe like the capacitor? He said oh no, this looks new, it looks fine. Didn't even bother testing it. The furnace went out that night, which I reset. And it went out the following night as well. I contacted him on January 2nd and January 3rd via text and called him.

He texted me back saying he was out of town. I told him have a good trip and to let me know when he would be back. He never called back or followed up. Of course, I couldn't wait forever and I contacted another company that came the same day, checked the capacitor and fixed the unit. Service call for that company was $20. I wonder if Greg will every call me to find out what happened to the unit or if it was working.

I guess some people are just more interested in one transaction, instead of building a business and a relationship. Who knows, if he had thought this through he might of been able to get my business to upgrade the furnace and the air conditioning unit which I have been considering. So be careful and good luck. There are other better HVAC professionals in the area that won't disappear if they can't fix your unit. I would not recommend Icy Air, so stay away!

Called them on the hottest day of the year after my A/C decided to give me the finger. They came within a few hours! Polite, smart, responsive and caring. Greg and co. are likely the nicest and most helpful guys who put on an A/C uniform. They figured out the problem after a little troubleshooting, waited to make sure everything was in working order, and gave me a good rate. Use these guys.

I called to make an appointment for 2 days out; he was willing to come sooner. Showed up on time. Quickly diagnosed a bad capacitor. Showed me the failed part and demonstrated the failure. Replaced it with the same part he had on the truck. Checked the rest of the system to make sure it was working well - confirmed it was. Didn't try to up sell me or suggest any unnecessary repairs or anything. That's what quality looks like.

Called Greg after reading the glowing Yelp! reviews. I was not disappointed. Greg came out the same-day to take a look at my HVAC system and resolved my problem within an hour. His prices are very reasonable and he does great work. I'd definitely use Icy Air Conditioning the next time I need someone to work on our HVAC.

How is it possible that Greg has this many positive reviews? He came to my home and assessed the situation and stated I needed a new condenser. but put in extra fluids in the meantime to see if that'll help the situation. Took my $300, and NEVER RETURNED ANY OF MY PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS after that, he said he'd get back to me with a quote on how much it'll cost to replace the condenser. that's not right at all. That's not good customer service. Certainly won't be using Icy anymore. Don't say I didn't warn you. :

I called on a busy, very hot summer afternoon. We had guests staying with an infant and really couldn't do without the air conditioning over night. Despite it being last minute, and very near the end of the day, I explained the situation over the phone and Greg said he would be there in 30 minutes, which he was. He assessed the problem within minutes, had the replacement part with him and fixed the unit immediately.

I could not be more appreciative. He was even able to resolve a problem with the thermostat at no additional expense to me. The price was reasonable, and he did a fantastic job. He was very straightforward, respectful, and professional. I would highly recommend their services and will certainly call them again, should I need them again myself.

A HVAC company that doesn't install "Duckless" AC system for homes under 900sq feet? Why not, just because it not a 7K system that is why. They only want to do big jobs but not the quick ones. Also, had no one to recommend, so they didn't help at all.

Our heater stopped working this weekend and naturally, since we live in Southern California and it was raining, this was cause for panic! We called Icy Air on Saturday morning and within a few hours, Greg came over to our house. Unfortunately, the problem couldn't be fixed because a part had to be ordered, but Greg got the part and had it installed by Monday afternoon.

We were impressed with how quickly the job was done and with the inexpensive price- 225.00 for two visits and parts. We were very pleased with Greg and Icy Air. The service was quick, professional and reasonably priced. This is now our go-to company for future heating/air-conditioning maintenance. I highly recommend them!

Icy Air Conditioning came this week to fix my broken air conditioner. They were punctual, professional, courteous, and fixed the problem promptly. Their price was very good. They deserve the five stars and I'm glad to have found them!

We experienced a heat wave and came to find out Saturday night that our A/C was not working. Not great when the inside temp is over 80* and you're 7 months pregnant. I called a few places today but the earliest that they would've gotten to check on the issue was 3 days! I called Icy Air and they were able to come in same day. My husband said that Greg was friendly and respectful.

He kept him in the loop of what was going on. It was a quick and easy process and fairly priced. Hopefully we don't have to call again, but if we experience any other issues, I know who to call.

Greg just got done reparing my air conditioning unit. The whole transaction, friendly and efficient service and even the nifty iPhone credit card reader was fast and easy. He even gave us tips for future maintenance and the first-time service call discount.

Still have nothing but praise for this business. Opted not to spend the money to replace a very expensive part, so I had Icy Air fix a couple leaks in my evaporator coils instead. Gregg and his assistant were out at the scheduled time, finished within 2 hours, and again, charged me a very reasonable fee. He even took pix of the work so I could see exactly what they did! Give these guys a shot. You will definitely be happier than you were with another A/C company.

Greg and his sidekick were very professional and efficient. They were able to quickly identify the problem and fix my A/C issue. He's knowledgeable in what he does and educated me on a few things regarding heating and A/C units. He was the only guy who called back out of the 3 companies I called and he didn't come off as a salesperson - just a straightforward and honest person who has the customer in mind.
