All of our employees take advantage of continuing education programs offered by manufactures, organizations and local schools. We give free written estimates for all installation jobs and service repairs upon your request. We handle all permits and inspections on your job with the necessary agency. We file paperwork for applicable Rebates and Extended Warranties. As an added service we offer Preventative Maintenance Agreements for all our customers. We install and service your new or existing comfort system as if it were in our own home.

Foundedin January 1968, by John W. Hentkowski the business now employees his wife Micki, sons John Jr. Stephen, daughter Barbara and son in law Brian. John is active in the daily operation of the business. We invite you to visit our office so you can meet us and see the equipment we offer in our showroom.

This actual process of air conditioning starts when refrigerant passes through the evaporator coil. As it passes through the coil the heat is removed from the air. John and Steven were fantastic! I had a leaking baseboard pipe in my master bedroom. The water was on the basement floor running over to my sump drain. Once I called, they called back to walk me through isolating the water from the system. They were onsite within an hour, replaced a section of pipe that had ruptured and job done in less than 2 hours. Thank you Hentowski Inc.!

My tech showed up and was very professional. He performed maintenance and informed me of that we needed some new parts in order for our system to run properly. He was very knowledgeable and informative about what the problems were and what the process was. He even took the time to call around and find the proper parts as we have an older system. He was able to give us a quote for the repairs that was reasonable and went ahead and ordered the parts for us.

I had the pleasure of talking to Kim from the office, a very pleasant and professional person after the contractor that installed 2 Carrier Infinity systems walk away because they could not solve the two codes ( 126 and 33) that keep popping up. The same day Hentkowski had John over, he started his diagnoses, it took him many try because it was not easy. John had to get Carrier involved, but he never give up.

Between Kim, John and Carrie they get it done. For John it was like his personal mission to solve the problems, which he did. John, I want to thank you for your dedication and persistence. Now Hentkowski will be the go to for my 3 HVAC systems. Thanks.

They installed a Carrier mini-split unit on our new enclosed porch which has worked great. They've also done maintenance on our existing HVAC system. I had John come to my house and takes measurements etc for an entire new 5 ton ac/furnace. I was told I would receive a quote within a couple days. After not receiving a quote, I called and left a message. No response from John so I called again and he called me back. I was told again I would receive a quote and still didn't didn't hear from him. I chose to go with a competitor because apparently need doesn't business. My suggestion is, don't waste your time or missing time at work to have Hentkowski come to your house because you may not receive a quote.

We had our A/C unit replaced by them last year and our furnace replaced/upgraded this year, too. Both jobs were very well done and competitively priced. I highly recommend them. Pricing and scheduling, workmanship.everything was just great.

Everything good, except one day late in beginning. Worked steadily on our new Carrier AC system. Efficiently installed two new cold air returns, cleaned up. Job took 2days. No complaints. We are nice and cool.

Terrible service delivered by people that don't stand by their work. Everything they have touched or installed in my house was dysfunctional within 6 months and then broken again in another 6 months after the warranties had expired. They replaced some things unnecessarily, including an air conditioning unit that I did not request, and wouldn't replace things that needed to be replaced without a fight and a service call in the middle of the night.

I choose Hentkowski based on the good reviews. I certainly a very different experience with them. Overall they are over-priced and quality is bad. 1) Install programmable A/C thermostat I bought the control ahead of the time. The installation costs $104. It works fine. 2) Install a missing piece of duct The technician takes at most 20 minutes. The duct is about 6 inch by 5 feet.

It costs $230. 3) Heat pump tune up The tune-up costs $139. I replaced a contractor per suggestion, cost another $134. I am not an expert, but Heat-pump works fine. After the tune-up and replacing the part, the technician says the heat pump works fine. 2 weeks later, the same technician checked again and say the back-up heating does not work. He cannot fix it, and suggest replacing the entire HVAC and Heating system, costs a few thousand dollar.

So far, my experience is not great. But I won't write this review, if it not were the water heater issue. My water heater stopped working. I called Hentkowski. The first time, they did a diagnosis, cost $80, without fixing it. The second time, they replaced a heating element, cost $225. The technician told me that it would take a while for the water heater to heat the water, so he left.

It is not fixed. The same technician came back and told me that the water heater is dead. I need to replace it with a new one. I paid over $300 without fixing the problem. The funny thing is that the next day, I called another company. They came in the fixed the water heater in 20 minutes. They charged me $40 for the parts and the repair. They also told me that the problem is very likely caused by the technician from Hentkowski. Hentkowski just doesn't know what they are doing. They didn't fix the problem, but actually cause another problem.

I've used them as they were the company who installed the a/c system in the house I bought. The home inspector was very impressed with the quality of their work. The technician who did my A/C check up was friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly, honest. They made me a customer for life.

It has been years since this happened, but let others beware. To try and make a long story short, Hentkowski replaced my gas house heater. The old one was a huge furnace which had a large grate in the upstairs. When we used to come in and stand on it to get warm many times we would drop silver coins accidently. When the guys came, I went down the cellar as they were dismantling the old furnace.

Found many silver coins that had been there for many many years. I put them into a container with a lid and set them on a shelf in the cellar. Walked down to see how the job was going when they were out to lunch and to get my silver. Gone! I was raised here in what was then a small town and we could trust people. I did not call John H. because there was no way that it could be proven. Never used them again, nor will I ever.

I needed my heater repaired and called Hentkowski because a friend had recommended them. The first appointment from the sales man John Hentkowski was wonderful. He showed to the site on time and did a thorough inspection of my heater and we discussed possible problems of why the heater would not work properly. He then had his services department call me to schedule an appointment for service.

This appointment was for a week later but I was told they were very busy and this was the first opening they had. The day of the appointment I drove to the job site and waited for them to show by 10 am. At 10 am they still had not showed so I called to see what was wrong. I was told the appointment was for between 10 am - 12 pm. I remembered that yes that was the time frame and the service lady said she would call when the technicians were on their way.

So there I sat waiting until 12:30 pm and still no technicians showed and no phone call. I too run a business and had cleared my morning and afternoon in order to meet Hentkowski at my job site. It wasn't until 1:15 pm that I got a phone call saying that the technicians were on their way and would be there in 30 minutes or so. That puts me out till almost 2 pm and I had my own business to attend to at 3 pm.

So I could no longer wait around for their technicians and told them to meet me there in the morning. I was told they were too busy to come to do the work the next day and that I would have to wait for another appointment time. Are you kidding me!? I waited a week for them to come and they did not come. When you set an appointment aren't you supposed to make sure you have no other work at that time?!

If I ran my business this way I would be out of business quickly. I was told sorry but we have a lot of emergency no air conditioning calls. THATS WHY I MADE AN APPOINTMENT! I AM NOW OVER A WEEK BEHIND ON MY JOB SITE! WHERE IS YOUR INTEGRITY! HOW DID YOU WIN AN AWARD WITH SERVICE LIKE THIS! I gave them one star because the sales call was great. So if you want to have a nice conversation with a very nice man then call them and have them come out.

If you want to have work done in a timely, professional manner I would look somewhere else or you may be waiting and waiting and waiting.the only other plus is there is no charge to come out and look at your problem.

I spoke with the owner to schedule an appointment. Wow, incredibly rude! If his attitude reflects his workmanship, I'd suggest staying far far from this company. I'd hate to have a problem with the ac and have to have him take a look.
