Our system broke for the second time in two days, we requested a senior technician this time because we anticipated having to replace our entire unit. The tech was professional & understanding & listened to everything we said. Diagnosis was quick but thorough and we had a new part and we are back and running in a couple hours. I will forever keep a service contract with GAC - it saved us $500 this time! - thanks GAC!

I highly recommend GAC. Their employees (from the office to the technicians) are very professional, prompt, courteous and polite. My A/C went out on a Sunday. My mother who's stay with me has severe respiratory issues. Chris came in for a consultation on Wednesday, thoroughly inspecting the house and explaining to me the options available for a new system and what would best suit my needs.

He answered all my questions and went out of his way to see that I had a/c by Friday. Noah and Iggy, the installation team, were very thorough as well. They worked non-stop installing the new heat pump and furnace. They explained what had been done, we're patient and answered all my questions and even helped me connect the thermostat to my phone.

Gary is THE BEST! Our A/C stopped working and Gary came out last minute at 7pm to ensure our family didn't have to sleep in the terrible heat. He was extremely personable and explained everything he was doing along the way. Even when he realized he didn't have a part he needed, he had a coworker come out and bring it to him- he could've easily left and rescheduled us for the next day as it was past 8pm at this point, but he did not!

He waited with us and we chatted about our kids and lives until the part was delivered and he quickly installed it and got everything working again! Honestly I would have Gary over to a family BBQ thats how much we enjoyed him!

Excellent service today! We were terribly worried as our cooling system broke down unexpectedly. Our technician worked diligently to resolve the issue. He was thorough/clear in his explanation of the cause, polite, and honest. We are grateful customers!

We were in the market for a new Generac generator. I shopped around with a few vendors. Our business went to GAC Services. Bill (our sales rep) spent his time explaining all the options and recommendations considering our requirements and budget. Bruce and his install team were very friendly and considerate of my home. The workmanship was very clean. I would definitely recommend GAC Services. They seem to be a customer centric company. Actually planning to switch my HVAC service contract to GAC also.

Seasonal tune up; very knowledgeable and friendly guys. Adjusted my dampers and digital thermostat settings to run more efficiently. Recommended some services but it is a pretty new unit so they were in and out. Would definitely recommend!

Fredy and Brandon were great today. We needed our thermostat replaced and they also did a system check and identified some issues. They took care of the issues and got us on a service plan that saved a couple hundred dollars. I'm so glad we switched from our old company to GAC! Fast service, professional, courteous, very cognizant of social distancing and health in our current environment, and adequately priced. Very happy with the service!

Jim came to fix my air conditioning system right away Monday morning. He explained everything that was going on with my system thoroughly, and was a huge help in helping me understand the problem. He also gave great advice for future use of my equipment. Jim was completely professional and very easy to talk to. I appreciate his work today!

I had a complete heating and cooling system installed in my home recently by GAC Services. From the sales process, duct cleaning, and installation, I was impressed the entire way. The sales person sized everything from scratch instead of assuming my current system was sized correctly. Other companies did not do this step and just read off the AC ton size, blower size, and BTU of my current unit and quoted that.

It turned out my old system was too big!
Further, the installers (Matt, Phil, and Dave) showed up promptly on the scheduled day and finished quicker than I thought. Their installation was spotless and tidy and did not leave a mess behind. I would highly recommend GAC!

Deivid was awesome! He got there quickly, fixed our issue right away, answered all our questions about how to change the filters and take care of our new HVAC, and then went above and beyond by helping us corral our very enthusiastic beagle after she escaped and ran around the street, barking happily and letting all the neighbors know that we had a visitor (she's helpful that way). Thanks Deivid- we appreciate you and we will 100% use the company again for all our future HVAC needs!

In December, our furnace died right before we had those first freezing days. GAC came over right away to give us a quote. The man was honest about what we needed and didn't try to push the more expensive furnace. Our furnace came in a few days and the men who came to install it were super friendly. They taught us how to use the new console and tested the furnace to make sure it worked. Recently, when we tried to turn on our AC, it wasn't working, so we called them back.

They came to see what happened, and they realized the new console wasn't connected to the AC unit. They fixed it for no charge since it was their mistake. The visit was free, too! We've worked with other companies where they charged us even when it was their mistake, so I'm happy to be working with an honest company who cares about their customers!

GAC provides the HVAC maintenance for my townhouse. They had installed the HVAC system and thermostat a year or two before I bought the place. So, their HVAC team has always been great with inspections and service. Today, I had an electrical issue. I called and spoke to Lisa at their office and she was super nice and helpful. She was able to find an electrician on call that could squeeze me in. Bruce Moore at GAC is my new favorite electrician!

I didn't expect Bruce until later in the day but he was nearby and called and said he could come take care of my issue. He was already able to test my outdoor outlets while waiting for me to return home to meet up with him. He walked through the interior issues with me and showed me what was happening and made his recommendations on what to do to fix everything for the day.

He was able to replace the exterior outlet to make sure they were up to code and that the GFI outlet panel was secure. We also talked about a surge protector for the whole house that I had gotten a quote for a few months ago. I asked if he had time for that and he did! So, he was able to install the surge protector. The best thing is that he took the time to explain that it wasn't just stormy weather or the electric company that could cause a surge.

Often times, with older large appliances, they could take more to turn on and could cause a spike as well. Bruce was professional, informative and thoughtful. He wore booties and mask throughout my house. He cleaned up everything afterwards. He also made sure I knew what was new in the breaker panel and noted the changes he made. Incredibly happy with GAC and will continue to use them for my HVAC and electrical needs.

After comparing several bids for a new gas furnace installation (along with a new thermostat) GAC Services was the most competitive and, moreover, were super professional and friendly from start to finish. Every step of the way from general help (Stephanie and Jessica - two thumbs up), estimator (Steven who asked pertinent questions the other companies that performed estimates didn't) and especially the installers (Iggy, Jonathan and their crew) were very polite, respectful of my time and generally an all-around class act. I can't recommend GAC services enough; they performed an excellent job with a good rate and out shined the competition!

I bought a new heating/AC unit from GAC Services. From start to finish the staff was very polite, courteous and professional. The workers that came out were all so nice, friendly and polite. They completed the job professionally and with a quick turnaround time. When I needed them to come back out for a minor change, there were no hassles about it, I wasn't charged a fee; and they were very accommodating to my schedule.

I really loved the service they provided and will not hesitate to contact them again for any future needs and I would definitely recommend this company to all my friends and colleagues. Thank you!

The GAC Services technician conducted the bi-annual VAC system maintenance to assure us that our system was ready for the upcoming spring and summer air conditioning seasons. As usually is the case, the maintenance was done in an efficient manner. Of primary note, the technician was very responsive to my needs and thoroughly explained the operation of our system and patiently helped me as the homeowner know exactly what his maintenance consisted of in a very professional manner. I anticipate the same level of quality service for our HVAC needs in the future.

Brandon with GAC offered excellent service. He was professional, knowledgeable and provided a call to let us know when he would be arriving. Without a doubt he arrived within that time. The whole crew showed up sharply to remove my ancient HVAC system and install a new Mitsubishi mini-split system for my condo unit. Kudos to Nelson, Blake, James, Jay, and Christian for a thorough and immaculate job. They were conscientious about masking and protecting my floors by wearing booties and using drop cloths. This was a huge investment for me, and I was a little anxious; but when they turned it on to test it out, my worries vanished. It is fabulous. And so quiet!

I highly recommend GAC services! As someone who works in the customer service business I could not be more impressed by GAC from start to finish. Our 18 year old Heat Pump was not working properly so we called GAC. Giovanni our technician came out and did his due diligence to diagnose the issue. With the age of the system and the cost to repair he helped steer us towards looking at replacement options.

The next day Steve the engineer came out and did an assessment and presented replacement options to us. We were very impressed by his professionalism and product knowledge. We were happy with the price and agreed to sign a contract on the spot. To our delight two days later we had Jason, Raltsaan, Blake, and the rest of their team at our home promptly at 8 am to begin the install. Everything went great and we are finally warm with our new Carrier Heat Pump. Thank You GAC!

This is a running commentary: I had scheduled my annual maintenance today and the technicians called me before heading over and was very professional and courteous. During the maintenance session they showed me possible issues and immediately called a comfort care (sales) specialist and asked them to send someone to give an estimate because they have a no heat situation to get an estimate for a new unit.

I was shocked - my heat has been working very well so far. They then left after turning the heat back in and then within about an hour the thermostat went blank and the system kept running with cold air blowing through. I am still wondering how a system that was working perfectly well stopped after a service call! And to experience this episode with a company I had a lot of trust in.

I called to ask for someone to come back and after three calls Nicholas, the very polite gentleman answering the phones confirmed the dispatcher was able to find a technician to come out today for the recall service appointment. THANK YOU Nicholas! I'm waiting for the technician and waiting to restore my faith in GAC services. I will update with my experience.

Very happy to write that Luis and Miguel from GAC fixed the issue (and thank you to Lisa for calling to make sure they were on their way). Luis shared great video that showed what the issues are and this is really helpful to understand the root causes.

I've used GAC for many years and have always been happy with their service. Gary came for my annual heating maintenance, and he was the most thorough tech I've ever had. He did all the normal maintenance items of course. He also noticed my furnace was capable of two stage heating, but wasn't wired to do that. He took the time to explain that to me and to go ahead and tweak my system to give me that capability. I greatly appreciate his thoroughness and professionalism.

I have a service contract with GAC. I called in few weeks ago to schedule an appointment for tomorrow Friday 11/05/21. Today They called me and said they can't make it tomorrow and said that they will call me back today to reschedule the appointment by the end of the day. Well, no one from GAC call back? This happened to me many times, just 24hr before the appointment, GAC called me and bumped me off? GAC needs to improve their services. :

Made an appointment on Monday for furnace tune-up. Appointment was scheduled for Thursday (no estimated time given) with stipulation technician would call 30 minutes before arriving. Waited all day and did not receive a call. Contacted company's answering service after 4:00pm and was told I would receive a call back. Finally received a call after 5:00 and was told appointment was mistakenly never scheduled by office personnel. Was told that technical could come on Friday (again no estimated time) with a $20 discount. What a joke. Told scheduler I would find another company to provide the service. Obviously GAC has no concept of customer service.

This review is for a HVAC quote. Pros: Good website. Modern. Offers coupons. Fast quote. Decent call center response time. Cons: Expensive. More than other quotes. Rude salesmen (visited home). Didn't want to be there. Rushed his walkthrough.

I hope that things go well for my upcoming estimate on a new unit. They were so nice on the phone. Most of the bad reviews are from people that must live in a box. Several complaining about visit and assessment charges. Are you soooooo disconnected from reality? A person that can bill a couple of hundred an hour has drive to your house - round trip for a hundred dollars or 89 or whatever?

They are barely breaking even if they do not get the work. A cab ride. if you still take them - is 80$ for a 25 minute ride. Rot cheap people. PS I have no affiliation nor do I know anyone it in the AC BIZ

I got a call selling me a "seasonal tune-up" for my system. When the appointment took place it became clear that this was JUST an opportunity for them to get inside my house and sell - an opportunity that I was paying for. They didn't do anything beneficial but left me with estimates for a laundry list of repairs to the main system (which they had been servicing biannually up until 12 months previously, so why wasn't anything said then?) and replacing a smaller system entirely which they said had a leak (again, part of their previous service contract and the system had been running perfectly until that point). Lo and behold, after their visit the secondary system was no longer cooling.

I called out a second company to take a look. They told me they could guess what happened (can't we all?) and topped up the refrigerant (which cost me $800 - ouch) and told me I would know within days to weeks if there was actually a leak. 2 years later it's still running fine. I didn't want to believe that I'd been scammed by GAC so badly. But what other option is there? So BEWARE the "seasonal tune-ups" - they're just an opportunity for these guys to get into your house and sell, and maybe even worse.

Imer and Owen of GAC Electric Department came to my house to install a new electric panel on June 24, 2021. The total price is 4908.88. I'm sad about two things: 1. THEY DID NOT PUT A COVER ON THE PANEL. It is dangerous for children and adults not to have a cover on the panel. 2. Imer charged me exorbitant price for the outdoor outlet $805.17!

In addition, Imer was trying to make more money out of me when he offered installing fire alarm for around $900. I declined. Then he finds a power switch in my kitchen "not working" and offered to fix it for $77! I am a retired Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Yoga Teacher. What makes them think they can get away without putting the cover on the new panel and charged me exorbitant amount. I'm an older senior single citizen.

I called up the office today because my air conditioner shut down as a result of the installation. The HVAC coordinator Kathryn was very sweet and sent out a guy from that department who came and fix the problem. I called up Sandy, the boss for the Electric Department and he agreed to take out $230 from the $805. I am requesting that my panel be covered within 24 hours as I do have young yoga students coming into the studio located right next to where the exposed panels are. Karuna kristjanson LCSW

Sadly, I have to update my review of GAC. We were with them for a very long time and for a long time, they were great. They've grown a lot and, in my opinion, too fast, and service has declined markedly. We purchased a new HVAC system, soup to nuts, from them and while installation went flawlessly, the system has been inadequate for our home and the AC just can't keep up (the system it replaced worked fine until it didn't).

They sent out several technicians to see what we could do to make it better and ultimately, one told me under his breath that it just wasn't the right system for the house. The furnace broke down at 3 years old. It took three visits from three techs to figure out what was going on. The first tech was very young and I walked downstairs to find him sitting on the floor with the furnace manual. Can't explain why he was alone doing what I could have done myself and I felt badly for him, but he finally told me it was fixed and left.

It ran for a few hours and then kaput again. Was a saga to get someone who actually knew what they were doing--and they sold us the system. I wish I wasn't writing this because we were loyal and happy for a long time. Happy for their growth but think it's very much time to reign it in and do it right, at least by their customers. We are moving on.

Installed the light the wrong way, damaged the drywall, and refused to repair the damage. Does this light install look professionally done to you? No? Well, GAC does NOT stand behind a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Although promised by multiple staff that someone would immediately be out to repair the damage, I was later told, the day of the scheduled repairs (after I had taken off work) that they don't do drywall repairs and it was basically my fault for having the work done on a 30 year old house.

They eventually offered $150 refund after 8 phone calls to GAC. Not to mention they installed the light the wrong way and knocked over a bunch of my wife's lotions and perfume bottles and did NOT pick them back up. Two had fallen in the trash and a bottle of lotion had leaked onto the floor.

I have been a customer of GAC for 8 years now. Ever since we bought our house in Germantown we've used GAC. The last two times they have come out, the quality of work was exceptional but they raised their rates. This last time, they sent out two people to install outdoor lights. The work was great. The people were awesome. The charge? well it was way to high for around an hours work.

So sadly even though they do good work, I will not be using GAC again. Quality is worth paying for, but when the cost way out weighs the value, then quality isn't worth paying extra. oh well.

They totally rip you off. They charged us $1200 to change a doorbell transformer (that we bought) and replace 2 light fixtures.one of which was a small pendant light. They were supposed to change 3 of them but one didn't get changed because after they took the old one down, they realized the new one was missing a part. They still charged us for it though of course.even though a good electrician would take responsibility for not checking the new fixture before agreeing to use it and taking down the original fixture. I'm not an electrician.how in the world was I supposed to know?

We also asked if they would change 3 light bulbs we couldn't reach (our family room has really tall ceilings.) He said it would cost $800 dollars. We said no way.forget it. Never using them again and will let everyone in my neighborhood know, including the people who recommended them to us, how awful our experience was.

GAC installed our HVAC System and it has worked well - the only reason they get 2 starts - The follow up service has been anything but working well - 0 to less than 0 zero stars for their follow-up service agreements. We signed up for a twice a year check-in to change filters, check the system and ensure that there was nothing to worry about - From the beginning, it has been an awful experience.

Much too long to write about so I will share the most recent - just multiply this experience by the past five years and you will get the picture. We are the owners and lived in the property when the HVAC was installed - the service has been awful since the beginning. We had to move from the area and now have a renter living in the house as well as a local management company. GAC has the numbers of the renter and the management company but cannot seem to change it from the original cell number put in the contract 5 years ago.

We have begged GAC to update their records - they will not do so. On December 23, I received yet another call from GAC. I was working and could not answer - GAC cancelled the appointment - they never tried to call the management company, they never tried to call the renter. After 5 years and countless explanations, calls, emails, etc., GAC will not update their records. Additionally, GAC never actually switches the vent system each visit (which is a one reason we wanted their ongoing service).

There is no way I would ever recommend GAC unless you are putting in the HVAC so that you can sell and move. Save your money, time and exasperating experiences - find another HVAC company.

Stephen was my sales representative. Ignacio S. and Kameron C. did the installation., Kristina is the call center representative, Destiny and Monica are the install representatives. My experience with GAC was great! Stephen was very professional, understanding to my needs of what I wanted and polite, Ignacio S. and Kameron C. arrived on time, explained what they were going to do and answered my questions.

I have hired GAC for two jobs now and they are one of the finest contractors we've dealt with (we're restoring an old house so we've dealt with a lot of contractors over the past couple of years). Their service starts with a knowledgeable and friendly estimator, then a construction manager does a detailed walkthrough, and finally a massive crew of English-speaking employees (not independent contractors) does the work in a clean and professional manner. All this for about the same price as mom & pop HVAC shops.

I needed to get a New HVAC System for my home. I contacted three places. They aware the most responsive. Chris came out and told me what would work for my situation. Went over the options a got me a proposal right away. And the price was more then fair. Which really helps The other two places took days to get me a proposal. The work was amazing Christian and team arrives.

They took great care and the System was installed very neat. No mess they cleaned up everything. The duct work looked amazing everything lined up very neat. I would recommend GAC and their team it's you are looking for HVAC info. They were great

I'd like to update my review. The company did get back in contact with me and I got one of the most sincere apologies I have ever gotten from a business. I do think staffing and supplies complications due to Covid was a huge factor in our experience. I am definitely willing to continue doing business with them as I think this was probably a one-off experience and not typical.

Charged almost $800 to replace a capacitor in an outside unit, drain overflow plan and an emergency visit. GAC recommended to replace entire HVAC unit or spend $4000 to clean the coil. The problem was not fixed. AC continued to shutdown. Hired another company they charged only $140 for the visit and unclog the drain. Problem fixed! AC is operating fine. The other company also said the the AC is fine. Fool me once shame on me. Hope this will help others. Beware!

Replacing my AC equipment was my third project with GAC. The first two were furnace replacements which I was provided great service and my (2) Bryant units are quiet and keep my old house warm. I upgraded my AC unit this past April - another great install. I've had some time to use my AC with the continued hot weather and compare billing from this time last year.

It was even cooler last spring summer and still I have reduced my electric bill by almost half. This is in addition to reducing my NatGas bill with the new furnaces. Love the savings.

From start to finish the GAC service call was five star. Walter, the tech was so friendly and professional He showed us how the self fix the issue we were having and recommended a much needed cleaning of our out side unit. He also coached me on DIY regular cleaning (which we had not been doing). In all, I highly recommend the company for home HVAC work.

GAC came to replaced a new AC system at our home today. Few years back, they replaced a system for us because we have 2 level systems, so this was the 2nd sets. We are very happy with their performance. At GAC, from the girls who picked up the phone to the sale gentleman Fritz, money man Lyle, most of all my husband and I wanted to acknowledge GAC's installer crew - Kameron, Christian and Sean, they were very polite, highly professional, and extremely hard working young men, worth mentioning is that, when they arrived, they prepared and covered the floors and staircases nicely, they wore masks, and they worked methodically and very organized. When they completed their installation, they cleaned the areas very well. Excellent job they did! We would like to thank you for their great work.

I selected GAC because they are a recommended Bryant dealer. I replaced my 32 year old Bryant heat pump and furnace. I met with the representative, he told me I needed a new system, I made the appointment and they work was done the day after. The lead technician explained the air filtration system, went over the paperwork and the high tech thermostat.

The men wore masks and foot covers while they worked. I'm sure you could get a cheaper system but I don't plan on ever buying another one so I went with a Bryant system.
