I had them come out to check out my A/C before it gets too hot since i bought the home 1 1/2 years ago with central air. They came out and checked out the A/C system, he cleaned the coils, but the system was ok, and so he also looked at my furnace too. He opened it and cleaned the flame sensor and some drain tubes, but the furnace was okay too. It only was an hour labor and now I have peace of mind knowing my system is ready to go.

I wish I could write a good review. We had used them a few times in the past and they used to be responsive. Now nothing and I mean NOTHING in response after multiple calls and emails. Are they even still in business? Either way I'm punching a new hvac system from someone else and can not recommend Don's any more :.

My current HVAC company misdiagnosed the problem with my furnace saying I had to replace my duct work because the furnace was too big for the duct work which was why the furnace kept shutting off. Dave and Tim from Don's Air Care came out and diagnosed my problem as the damper gears were stripped and this the damper couldn't open all the way causing the furnace to overheat and shut down! Wow, I was sooo impressed. I'm firing my current company and hiring Don's Air Care to maintain my HVAC. They're great, courteous took the time to explain everything.

I can't say enough good things about these guys. The professional plaza I manage has been using them for, I believe, as long as the building has been open which is about 30 years, and I have personally been working with them for the last 13 years. I love the whole team but Dave is my favorite. These guys work their butts off and have an old school approach to business and how they treat their customers that just can't be beat (not to mention is hard to find these days). I will use these guys for as long as they're around and will put up with my needy self!

I thought I had a HVAC problem that I wanted inspected quickly. My friend had referred me to Tim. He's very kind and knowledgeable. He was thorough and made sure to walk me through what he examined and gave me helpful tips for my HVAC system. Tim was compliant with the covid protocol and wore a mask, plus kept good distance. I will definitely be using their business again in the future.

Really appreciate them going above and beyond in finding the correct filter, (high filtration) even calling multiple distributors to get the filter we needed for our air cleaner on our furnace. They did a great job on the cleaning and servicing of the furnace, and we were able to get an appointment in a timely manner, even though it's a busy time of year. Easily available via text and phone to communicate on the day of the appointment, and throughout the process of finding and installing the filter. Thank you!

When my furnace quit, it became obvious I needed professional help. I like working with local service providers, and Don's Air Care (great name, by the way) is as Aloha as you can get. Aloha, Oregon that is. The other thing I like is when a business answers their phone on the first try. In case you don't know, Don is retired for several years and his sons Dave and Tim now run the business. Dave answered the call and confirmed a next-day appointment for me, and by noon I had a call from Tim that he was on his way.

I had already replaced the igniter and fixed a broken pressure-sensor hose so I was anxious to learn what might be wrong. To my surprise, the furnace fired right up but when Tim wiggled the connector on the gas valve, it went crazy, shutting off and restarting like it had done to me. Cleaning the connector and re-seating it firmly returned my furnace to rock solid operation.

This was all done in my presence and while we were diagnosing the issue, he gave it the once-over, re-seating another connector and answering every single furnace question I had. I'm much more familiar with my 20 year old Trane XL 80 now and feel like I can maintain it better in the future. Don's charges $112 for a service call but there is no separate diagnostic fee. After that it is by the hour. I consider myself fortunate to have found these guys.

I originally contacted another company to come service our furnace however, due to an unfortunate accident, their tech would be off work for several weeks. They referred us out to Don's. I wasn't able to get an appointment as quickly as I would have liked, but they did get us in within a few days. The tech was on time, and able to fix our issue in a very short amount of time. Their pricing is also very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family, and will use them in the future as needed.

I'm a guy that likes to do stuff around the house for myself. But I know my limitations AC stuff and electrical stuff aren't on my list of things I can do. My heat pump wasn't working right and after a bunch of Google searches of possibly problems I was pretty sure I was going to have to get a new heat pump. It seemed like it would be cheaper to replace it than fix it. Don's came out and in less than an hour it was working like new!

And was less than $200.00! This is a situation that some people could have taken advantage of and ripped my family out of hundreds or a couple of thousand dollars. The people were professional, knowledgeable, fast, friendly and above all else honest and fair! I will ABSOLUTELY recommend Don's to anyone who needs there kinda help. Thank you guys for helping restore my trust in local businesses.

Great service and pricing! Don has worked on both our cooling and heating. Started have trouble with our AC 3 years ago and he kept it running for as long as possible. He recently put in a new unit for us and it runs fantastically. It's a bit bigger than the last (which was placed by the builder) which lasted 17 years but that said it was most likely too small for the house as it ran constantly.

The new unit is quiet and far more energy efficient. I couldn't be happier. And this all happened in the middle of a heat wave and we have a Pug. It took a few days to get the new unit but once it arrived, Dave was out the next day to install. I highly recommend this company. When it's time for a new heating system this'll be the company that gets my business.

Furnace went out and Dave was out within an hour. Super fast, reliable, honest and friendly. All of the kudos to small businesses who still have common sense and are not out to rip customers off. I am absolutely blown away by the excellent service I got from Don's. I had been dealing with another HVAC company through my home warranty who thought it was acceptable to leave me without heat for 3 1/2 weeks. They kept coming out, and pushing me off. I finally fired them and called Don's. Dave (one of the owners) was at my house in 2 hours, diagnosed the problem and came back the next day to start work.

There was another part that failed that he had to diagnose, but again, was there the very next day and had it finished up in under an hour. I will absolutely use Don's Air Care again!

Don's to the rescue! When my furnace went out, I called my home warranty and they sent out a horrible company who strung me along for 3 1/2 weeks with no furnace in January. After firing them, I called Don's. The owner Dave was there in under 2 hours and made me a priority (well he made me feel like I was a priority which I very much appreciate). He was quick and had me up and running the next day. I'll use him again for sure!

We called them right before the hot weather arrived. We called a few different "recommended" and known companies in the area who wouldn't be available for a least 2 weeks. Don's was available the week we needed them - had to follow up once or twice but they set a date, called a few hours before and arrived on-time. Assessed our issue right away - luckily our issue wasn't a big one. Came down and explained and we paid the price initially quoted to us and they are completely affordable and no up selling. Our AC has been working amazing well during this heat (knock on wood!). Highly recommend Don's Air-Care.

My regular AC and Furnace guy retired and I needed to find someone else. I called around and many places wanted $250-$325 for a single routine annual check up. Or they wanted to sign me up for a contract plan. Pa-shaw! Found Don's Air. Hired him. He was thorough. Explained everything to me. And charged me the same as my old guy well under those other places. I would definitely recommend Don's. He's my "new guy" now.

As a Property Management company, we have used Don's on dozens of jobs and never been disappointed. On our own rental, he replaced a $40 part instead of replacing the $3000 AC unit (as recommended by a east side company) and it has been running strong for 3 years. For several year, they have jumped thru hoops to meet our requests. I give them top grades for a vendor I can trust.

Horrible! Beware! They are not knowledgeable about this Business! I use them, told me I needed Compressor! So they did and looked at their work! Duct tape the capacitor! Leak in the system for three years! Lol Lots of excuses! It's a sealed system!

Stay far away from these peoples. It is not only you Juan Gutierrez i just got cheat and rip-off by "TIM" yesterday this guy is NOT a honest person to do business with (NOT AT ALL!) I got recommended from my friend and Tim came out for this job. My friend told me their charge is $102 per unit, I know this is not cheap rate. The service job my friend told me that included clean blower, burner, and filter, inspect over the unit make sure not thing wrong.

I trust my friend and let Tim to service my home and my sister home at same day. After he spend more than hours from my friend's house and show up at my home to meet me I told him my friend said he did a good job, I will be back soon to see the jobs well done and give him a check for 2 units service. As soon I left the house to pick my son and call back home 15 minutes later ask my wife to take some pictures what is he doing in my garage my wife told me he almost done ready for next home, I am very surprise " that's quick " I ask my wife let me talk to him and he told me my unit still very clean no need to do anything.

I told him you can't charge me full price if you didn't do anything so he give me $10 credit. He did the same thing to my sister unit too only wash off the filter and left after 15 minutes. I was pissed! He walk away in 30 minute and left $184 invoice for me. I also told him I will make sure everybody know when he did a good job and recommend more jobs for him, BUT I didn't mention I will MAKE SURE everyone know how terrible job he done too.

I am going to call BBB and file a complaint and put more BAD review on all the web site about this business. $184 for doing NOTHING but only for 30 minute checking. TIM was extremely unprofessional and just wanted to show up and leave with charging me $184. Don, you may want to reevaluate who is out there representing your family owned business. This guy is represent for a very BAD and UNPROFESSSIONAL business. Also if you are women don't even think do business with this guy he will treat you like a dummy you will pay lot money for little job that what he did to my sister home.

During the last heat spell our air conditioning unit quit working. My 90 year old mother lives with us and I knew the heat would be very hard on her. I called several local companies only to be told that we would have to wait at least a week. Don's listened to my plight and sent a technician the same day who quickly diagnosed the capacitor issue.

He left to get the part and replaced it quickly. I can't say enough about the compassion they showed during such a busy time for them. I'll always use them for my heat and cooling issues.

It was the hottest week in Portland/Beaverton history! My husband and I woke up this morning, on the day it was supposed to reach 107°, to realize that our air-conditioning had gone on the fritz overnight. The humanity! We called Don's Air Care shortly after 8 AM and spoke to a young man who said he would try to work us into their schedule for the day -though it had been jampacked for several days.

I crossed my fingers and waited for the phone call. They showed up shortly after 2:30 this afternoon and replaced the compressor, cleaned off debris from the unit, and put us back in business in no time and far fewer dollars than I was fearful we'd have to spend! My A/C heroes are Don's Air Care Inc! Very fair and timely service!

I called Don's based on these reviews so I thought it was important I come back and leave a review of my experience. I called Don's and spoke with someone (I think it was Don) that said they would be out by the end of the week. The next Monday I hadn't heard from them so I called and left a message that I was still interested and to please give me a call. Tim showed up unannounced on Tuesday. Toni was lucky i worked from home but I had just started a very important conference call with 2 of our company lawyers, the CEO and the President of the company.

If I would have been notified I would have first asked how much it was for them to come out and second NOT to come at that time. My dogs were barking since a man was knocking on our door. He stated were he was from and I told him I was on a call and the a/c was in the back. I was on this call for another hour as it was a serious discussion. When I got off the phone I went out and told Toni, "sorry but that was the worst possible time you could have came." His response was "that's OK." I was expecting a response of I'm sorry about that, I should have called first. Toni could not find any problems with my a/c unit and said sorry I couldn't do more but where can I send the invoice.

I said how much is it for, $102 for doing nothing but checking the pressure. I was pissed. I told him that the a/c unit hadn't worked properly since we moved into our home 2 years ago but he just continued to say, nothing is wrong. Luckily my husband showed up. I told him ask all the questions you want because they are going to charge us more than Home Depot quoted us to come out ($80).

With my husband making him go around and look at EVERYTHING as Toni should have they found that the emergency overflow valve wasn't connected. In fact the hose was sitting on the ground. Toni was in that area twice before my husband pointed it out. It got connected and now we have a/c again. Toni was extremely unprofessional and just wanted to show up and leave with charging me $102. Don, you may want to reevaluate who is out there representing your family owned business. I like to always chose local companies over corporate whenever possible but this was not what I would want for anyone.

Our furnace went out on a very cold February day. We called Don's Air- Care and left a message for someone to call back. When we heard from David an hour or two later, he said that he could be at our home in 15 minutes. He had our problem fixed within an hour and only charged the service call and $14 for the part. The service was prompt, efficient, and he patiently explained what he was doing and answered all of our questions. We would not hesitate to call Don's Air-Care again for future service.

Excellent Service! Great prices, low stress and very competent service provider. I had been told from a different HVAC contractor that I would need to purchase a new A/C unit as mine was dead at 23 years old. I called Don's and got a call back by COB that day. I had a technician out the next morning and instead of trying to sell me $5,000 worth of new kit he diagnosed the problem and fixed it within one hour and for $175. Such a great, no frills experience! I will be using them to replace the unit when it comes time!

A/C stopped working just as the weather started turning hot. They showed on time. Diagnosed the issue. Had to leave to get a part they didn't have and still managed to get me taken care of in a couple hours. The price was less that a tuneup on my car. How in the world could I not recommend these guys. Great service!

I talked to Don, he was super kind. Then when I explained my problem. Don said, "sense David is in your area right now. He can come out and look. If David can find the problem within the couple mins he is there, he will not charge me." David took his time out and gas to drive to my place. He found it was just some fuse. He asked me to replace that. And sure enough after that, my Nest was working great. He did not charge me a thing. What great people. I love how HONEST and KIND they are. THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!

I can not praise them enough! Our AC went out yesterday afternoon and this morning I began calling around places only to be told that everyone was booked out weeks (understandable in this weather!) When I called Dons, I was treated with kindness. I was told that they were busy all day trying to catch up on yesterday plus all the scheduled business today, and that tomorrow was looking busy too, however he took my name and number and address down and said that I was on his way home and he'd try to stop by! 7 pm I got a call!

He showed up 10 min later repaired my ac- all the while letting me watch and ask questions. Very friendly and informative! Fixed my ac in less than an hour and if anything I was under-charged! The prices were SO reasonable! I still can't believe he went the extra mile during an already busy week! I am a new and forever customer!

This is a family owned business and the service is fantastic. Tim came to my house within an hour of my call. Our furnace broke during a cold snap in December but 28 hours later my heat is back on and I couldn't be happier. Tim was calm, knowledgeable, and prompt. I highly recommend this business. The speedy service and reasonable rates have left us very pleased.
