I bought a new A/C from cool air in June 2022 because of the professionalism and knowledge of Clinton. He spent a lot of time giving me estimates in 2019. I decided to wait.big mistake as inflation has kicked in. Anyways Clinton and Steve came out for a service call because my A/C stopped working. A/C was old and compressor shot so I decided to go with a new unit. Clinton and Steve were great. A/C being installed today one day later which is awesome as it is really hot out. I will write more once A/C installed and running but total shout out to Clinton and Steve.

Firstly, I will preface this review by saying that this is only my experience with this company. I know that a lot of you out there like cool air. But this is an honest story of what happened, and my own bad experience, and how Pat the owner treated me. My 87 year old father called cool air because his AC wasn't working properly. They came out, diagnosed and fixed?

Shortly after, the same thing. AC still not working properly, they come out, diagnosed and fixed? After all this the AC still wasn't working properly, so I stepped in on his behalf. I thought he was being taken advantage of. The problem was explained to me, and unrelated to the previous repairs. But.they offered a $75 credit towards this repair, and $225 was agreed upon for the cost So we let them go ahead and do the repairs for the 3rd time. Having called my AC guy to ask about this, I was told that all of these items should have been found in one visit had the units been checked over properly.

That being said, after the repair the tech walked out of the house leaving a blank invoice. My father thought it meant there would be no charge seeing as this was 3rd time out for them. The very next day I was called by Pat, to collect payment. I told her that my father thought there was no charge. She said no, and we have recorded calls of the $225 agreement.

I told her I'd look at my dad's invoice and call her tomorrow. Her immediate response was telling me that if this wasn't settled, they would put a lien on his house! Less than 24 hours after service call! I'm sure most people know that would have cost her 10 times the 225 she was trying to collect. I paid the 225 as agreed. I believe they took advantage of my father, 3 service calls and close to $1000 later my father is stuck with an AC unit that runs all day without shutting off because it can't cool his home. Pat can say anything she wants in her defense, but that won't change the fact that his AC still doesn't work properly, and we are being forced to turn elsewhere for a company who will actually fix it.

Coolair is an amazing company. I had them out because my AC quit working Saturday morning. They had a technician at my home within 30mins of me calling. Clint was so friendly and polite. He had my system working right away. They didn't even charge me extra for a weekend emergency call. If you need ac work call these guys and ask for Clint

I was very impressed with the service I received from Coolair. They had competitive pricing on their service agreement and was at my house at the time they were scheduled for. Not only were they able to clean my air-conditioning system, Kevin McAleer, the service tech was able to make some electrical repairs that I needed. Kevin was pleasant, professional and gave me some suggestions for maintaining my air-conditioner.

I would highly recommend Coolair and look forward to continuing to have them maintain my air-conditioner. I am a local realtor and will also be glad to refer them to my clients, which is very important to me.

On New Year's eve day, I found a large puddle of water on my hallway floor near the AC unit. I was going to fly out of RSW in 2 days, and our seasonal tenants were going to arrive in 3 days. I needed to get the AC unit fixed fast. I called the 5 largest companies to request a technician - and got their answering services (only 1 company even bothered to return my call).

I spotted a CoolAir service truck in the driveway of a neighbor, and I asked the technician if he could top my place to 'take a look'. Knowing that it was New Year's Eve day and that companies plan their service routes well in advance, I fully expected him to tell me to 'call the office' and schedule an appointment. I was pleasantly surprised when he took my house number and said he'd stopover when he finished at my neighbor's place.

The technician, Ron B, showed up as promised and proceeded to spend almost 2 hours diagnosing the problem and fixing it. He was patient, thorough, a perfectionist in his work, and very friendly. The fact that the service tech even had the option of spontaneously adding me to his service calls that day says a lot about the company and its culture. And it says a lot about Ron's desire to provide outstanding customer service. I immediately signed an annual service contract with the company.

We are so happy with Coolair! Morgan is often the first voice we hear when we call and she is so professional and responsive. She did everything she could to get us taken care of before our renters came to our property for the winter and made sure that were taken care of perfectly. Randal did a wonderful job of cleaning our units and diagnosing our issues with one of our mini splits that had stopped working.

He went above and beyond to get to the bottom of our problem and to find us a replacement unit that was the right fit for us. He even called us back the next day to give us more information about the issue with our electrical surge that created the problem. Last but not least, Julio and Will have got to be the very best installers in the business!

Their work ethic, knowledge, care for our property and attention to detail truly amazed us! Julio really took time at the end to explain everything to us about our new system and when he left, he said he would be calling us tomorrow to be sure that all was well. I don't remember that last time anyone did something like that to be sure we were satisfied. We highly recommend Coolair! They have an amazing team that is a rarity in today's world. Many blessings to all of you!

Poor handling of service. I was sold a lemon as a brand new unit which I have major issues and their service is horrible. I have spent $2000 more than the unit cost, still not working right. They blame it on the customers not their technicians! Think twice! I was upset with their handling and they say I was hostile and would not fix it! Buyer beware!

We had a wonderful experience with our technician, Brent Shaker. He was beyond professional, punctual and informative. Brent took pictures of the areas of concern to show us what needed to be done. I feel the cost was very affordable for maintaining the units twice a year. I would highly recommend this company.

I had Coolair install a mini split garage AC and the installers (Julio and William) were outstanding. They were both very personable and treated our house as if it were their own. Their work was extremely neat and professional, all pipes/lines were straight and plumb, the unit looks and works great. I highly recommend Coolair.

I can only give the highest compliments to Josh, Albert, Devin, Bobby and John for the excellent job they did installing new duct work at home! They were very professional, very respectful of my home and I was so pleased that they cleaned up everything! I was quite impressed with each of them and five of the nicest gentlemen I have ever met! Excellent job. I will be a Cool Air customer for life. Totally trust this company and all of their employees!

Coolair replaced our ducts two years ago. I've now had three other contractors tell me what a terrible job they did. Poor mastic work, leaking, condensation, ducts hung incorrectly. They also left all their trash (bottles, paper, etc) in my attic. I've contacted them multiple times without resolution and now I'm getting the silent treatment. They do not stand behind their work. Do NOT call Coolair.

Worked with David on purchasing a split A/C unit for my garage. It was just installed today. David was fantastic to work with, responsive, accommodating, helpful and friendly. The guys who came to install the unit today were simply awesome. They worked with such care, attention to detail, conscientiousness making sure it was just perfect. They were friendly, expeditious and worked in super clean fashion.

I always look inside the working truck of technicians coming to do work at my house. For me a clean and orderly truck is a sign that the techs care and work in a neat fashion, so I always take a peek as they get their equipment out. These guys' truck was super clean, organized, and I knew the job was going to be well done and IT WAS. Best of all, the price I paid was extremely competitive.

My A/C just stopped in the middle of a late June day; that translates to 90+ degrees for us SW Floridians. I called Coolair around 6:30 pm, and a nice guy answered the phone, took my info, and said Rebecca would be in touch in the next 30 min. She called me (friendliest contractor I've ever dealt with) and since she was headed towards another service call in Lehigh, she helped me trouble shoot the issue and I was able to get the A/C back on.and trust me, I'm not a handyman of any sorts.

I wanted her to come out anyway since I did not want the issue to reoccur as my father is having health issues. She headed out my way around 8 towards old town Ft. Myers, and she not only came out when promised, she fixed the issue a for less than $100. Honest, friendly, and timely. I will call only Coolair now. P.S. It's oddly interesting that Coolair has 638 reviews on Google reviews with a 4.8 rating. That's nearly an impossible number to achieve with that amount of reviews. So, I'm not sure where the breakdown is. On the West Coast I used to use Yelp a lot, but now I'm switching to Google reviews when doing research and picking a company. I'm going to miss ya Yelp.

We just had a mitsubishi mini split put in our lanai. We were very impressed with David the salesman who initially visited us and helped us choose the best unit for our needs. Today Carlos and Welleam came and installed the unit. They were very polite and attentive to their job. They were able to answer any questions we had. All in all our experience has been top notch.

We had FIVE estimates on our two bedroom minisplits and we are so grateful that we chose Coolair. Bill Lester, our salesperson, really went the extra mile to be sure that we were really taken care of. Our installers, Will and Natalie, were truly experts in mini-splits. It's hard to find companies with people who have done so many minisplits to really know all of the in's and out's of these machines! Bill, Natalie, and Will really knew their stuff!

Will had even worked on mini-splits for 15 years, coming from Spain where they are used even more often. We couldn't be happier with the whole experience! Highly recommend!

I have a very old historical home in Fort Myers, lived there over 25 yrs. I have had many AC companies try to cool this small home to no avail. Sean and Doug are extremely knowledgeable and installed a new unit with all new duct work and blown in insulation up to the new code. They also have installed a Nest Pro thermostat. Since the install my electric bill has been cut in half. I am very happy with my new ac and will highly recommend Coolair for anyone needing thorough professional service.

This company was not upfront with me, tried to make me sign a statement saying they warned me about the drain pipe that went thorough a truss and might not pass inspection. They did this after the job was done and never warned me ahead of time. Had to have them come back multiple times to repair, they did not seal the duct work to the air handler.

The unit also overflowed and damaged my ceiling in the kitchen. Now they told me because I didn't continue to pay them for cleaning and service they voided my warranty, I never missed a service call, I just didn't maintain a service contract. They are correct it does say it on the service agreement, but they didn't warn me and now they will not honor their guaranty.

I called and tried to reason with them and they will not return my call. The guys who came to the house for service where very nice and helped me. You be your own judge, I do not recommend them nor would I ever use them again. I feel I was cheated.

Over the years, I have heard many horror stories about HVAC companies in Ft Myers. I have now experienced my own horror story with Coolair Conditioning. I would advise everyone to avoid this company. They are the most disreputable, dishonest and rude companies I have every dealt with. My AC failed in my condo. Luckily, I had a policy with Old Republic Home Warranty.

I called Old Republic who then dispatched Coolair Conditioning (239-275-7077). My condo had a 2.5 ton system installed. As part of my records, I had the detailed information on the manufacturer, model, and serial numbers of the equipment. This included pictures of the identification plates from the systems. I keep these records because I do not live in Ft Myers full time.

These records help me in the case service is needed Coolair did install the new system as requested my Old Republic. Once the installation was completed, they sent me a bill for charges that were not covered by Old Republic. This bill arrived by email the same day that the system was installed. I was amazing how creative Coolair was with these charges.

These charges totaled many hundreds of dollars. While reviewing the charges, I noticed that they had installed a 2 ton system, not the 2.5 ton that had been removed. I called Coolair and told them they installed too small a system. They said that they installed the same size that was removed. They then told me that I had to pay the bill that day or they would remove the system and place a lien on my property.

I provided them with the information from my records which confirmed it was a 2.5 ton system. Cool air's response was that they I had to prove that the serial numbers were from my old system not some information that I had made up. I told them that all they had to do was to look at the old equipment. They said the old equipment was not available! Coolair removed the old equipment from my property.

They are the ones who had access to it! I then called Old Republic to explain the problem. Old Republic was not very helpful. They said I needed to prove what system was installed. This started my quest to prove that Coolair had installed the wrong system. After calls to the property developer, the construction company, the HVAC equipment distributor, the Lee County government permit department, I was able to prove that a 2.5 ton system had been installed.

This took weeks of effort to accomplish. Finally Old Republic agreed to replace the system with the correct 2.5 ton system. I do not know how Old Republic and Coolair settled the charges between themselves. I have since heard many other stories about Coolair and their business practices. These stories all revolve around incomplete repairs, overcharges and efforts by Coolair to inflate property owner's bills to enrich themselves. In summary, Coolair Conditioning is a company to be avoided.

I had the extreme unfortunate displeasure of dealing with this crooked company in 2006 or 2007. The salesman came out to my home, was incredibly friendly and helpful to sell me a new 4 ton 14 seer Carrier A/C unit and new ductwork. The estimate was $8,000 something. I believe the ductwork was around $1500, and the A/C was the rest. When the project started, the installers went up into the attic and said, "Oh you don't need new ductwork." Bearing in mind, my house was built in 1984. So, it's like 30 years old at this point. THEY decided not to replace the ductwork, and then the project was completed in 4 hours.

I wouldn't sign off on the paperwork until the owner reduced the price of my final bill by not replacing the ductwork. HE REFUSED! He also WOULD NOT get it permitted by the city. He said I had outstanding permits on my house and therefore it wasn't his responsibility to follow the rules. Because I wouldn't sign off on the order for him to receive payment until he reduced my bill by $1500 for the unreplaced ductwork, HE BEGAN HOUNDING ME AT MY WORKPLACE.

I was working as a Loan Officer at Wachovia Bank at that time. He was a business customer with Wachovia Bank. He BEGAN TO THREATEN ME AT MY JOB, THAT HE WAS GOING TO PULL HIS BUSINESS ACCOUNTS FROM THE BANK UNLESS I SIGNED THE ORDER! This had nothing to do with my our transaction, but he was using threats and shady tactics to get me to pay him. I was soooo young at the time this happened.

I was only 22 years old, that I didn't know what to do. I panicked, was upset, and signed the paperwork under duress. He SCAMMED ME out of $8k, for MERELY AN A/C unit. I have to this very day, NEVER FORGOTTEN THIS INCIDENT. I thought about reporting him to the BBB, but that organization is probably just as crooked as he is. I will NEVER do business with this company again, I will fear them every time I drive past their stupid vans or signage, and I will WARN EVERY SINGLE PERSON I encounter to stay clear of these crooks. It was honestly THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! (No Exaggeration)

I was overcharged. There was a lack of service. They tried to scam me, so I moved my business to another company. The owner was unprofessional & unethical. AND they never got my account information correct in the 2 years I was a customer.

Don't call Coolair! They charged $75 for service call and unit check. Promised to flush the line last week, just like last year. What a joke. Service techs were rude and disrespectful so called Penguin Air to replace our 4 ton unit with a Trane. So they removed the old unit and the line was totally clogged with sludge and bacteria. Coolair does nothing, lies, and quickly cashes your check.

Closed on our Condo last year and finally stayed in it March 2017. Since the AC hadn't been serviced in a year I called CoolAir, who had serviced it before. Promptly answered the phone, scheduled maintenance for the next day and the fellows showed up within the time frame. Doug and Tony were very knowledgeable and friendly, explained some things that would make the system run better and completed the repairs quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend CoolAIr.

Company is a joke lots of games with words 29 dollar service call No one ever leave with that bill always find something owner is rude hides behind born again Christian over charges his customers charges 85 dollars per pound of freon other companies 35 to 45 charged 10k for 5ton inside outside unit installed called random company done 4k new called owner tried talking cursed me out hung up and that's how he appreciates disabled vet told him ok have a good life his replied lot longer than yours ended communication

Four months ago I hired Coolair to put a simple Mitsubishi AC split unit in my bedroom. I agreed to hire them and spend $600 more because they convinced me they were better trained and had a 12 year warranty. They came to install the AC unit and instead of installing it on an exterior wall they insisted on placing it on an interior wall. This caused them to install an additional water condensation pump on the wall and route a drain hose along with the power through the wall, into our closet, up into the attic, across the attic and out and down through the soffit and down the exterior wall.

The installation looked ridiculous! Additionally they cut holes in all my walls and ceilings. They destroyed my home. I have a new home. The pump was mounted on the wall in the bedroom. It looked so stupid a big pump on my bedroom wall with hoses running up the wall. Worse than that, the pump made loud noises like a bathtub draining and buzzing sounds.

It was impossible to sleep. We complained and 2 weeks later they came and moved the pump into the closet. Still the noise. We complained again and they replaced the pump weeks later with another pump that was just as loud. We complained still. They finally agreed to move the unit to an exterior wall as we had requested in the first place. They came weeks later and moved the unit.

We turned it on the first day and let it run. After a few hours water began leaking into our bedroom soaking our floor. Again we called them and they came and raised the unit higher on the wall. They had kinked the drain hose causing it to plug which led to the leaking. They patched the damage to my walls with tape and some type of rubber that is impossible to sand.

It does not match the walls at all. They failed to paint it leaving giant white smears on our walls. They patched the hole in our soffit with duct tape. Everything they touched looks like a crack head worked on it. Finally the unit works correctly. But the aftermath of the damage to our home is disturbing. I have holes in my walls, ceiling, soffit, and numerous nail and drill marks inside and out.

I am patching and painting walls and holes. They patched the hole in my soffit with duct tape. I wish I had never seen them! Absolutely DO NOT USE THEM! THEY CHARGED MORE AND TRASHED MY HOME!
