Service men came to house to check on gas fire logs. They quickly discovered the problem and had the gas logs working properly. They answered some questions and stayed to see that everything was running smoothly. Excellent service.

Joseph performed an inspection on my plumbing system. He was very polite and professional. He explained to me in detail everything that he did and patiently answered additional questions that I had. I apologized to him for "looking over his shoulder" during the inspection but he said that he didn't mind at all and that it actually helped because he was able to ask questions to me to help with the inspection.

He gave me some very good pointers on products that are harmful to my pipes and recommended better options. Joseph also gave me tips on how to properly adjust toilet tank water levels. I really enjoyed talking to him as he performed the inspection.

Woodfin installed a 1000 gallon in ground propane tank and i was amazed at how they went to great lengths to ensure they left my yard and property in virtually the same condition they found it in prior to excavation and install. Their entire 5 person crew was personable and great to deal with. I'm in a service industry and i realize how difficult good help is to find and Woodfin's staff was awesome!

What a wonderful and delightful company and service! Wow! From the first calls and scheduling to the actual HVAC maintenance - I am so pleased! Why haven't I used them before? Mr. Riley was polite, friendly, and he took his time checking out my system! It wasn't a "routine 30 minute in-out job". And he also told me about other services and left a brochure. He left me trusting the company with my whole house repair and maintenance needs. I'm staying with them!

I am not a review type person but my call experience just made my day! I called first thing this morning for a service appointment and spoke to Desiree. She was the best! Her voice is cheerful and professional. She seemed happy to be of service and I really REALLY appreciate her can do attitude! It is easy to "just do the job" but her attitude spoke volumes! Phillip did a wonderful job. This was supposed to be a simple "replace the motherboard" repair on a steam humidifier but turned into something more involved. The original installation was done by a different company and apparently was not wired correctly thus frying the motherboard after a few years. All of this had to be discovered and fixed by Phillip. He made sure the job was completed the same day. He was very professional and courteous.

Woodfin just finished replacing our HVAC and installing a mini-split in our addition. Both times the Woodfin guys were friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond. Taylor led the HVAC replacement and took time to answer my questions and explain to me how everything worked. He even drove back after completing the work to ease some fears I was having about my gas furnace I had never used before.

I can't remember the name of the man who led the mini-split install today but he was also great and removed an old heat source from the brick wall in our addition. Would highly recommend Woodfin!

Worth the time to read if you are in the market for HVAC system. Woodfin stepped up in a difficult situation. In August I elected to replace my failed propane emergency heat unit and try to reuse my 12 yr old heat pump that was still running (In fairness to Woodfin they tried to discourage me from doing this). Anyways, sure enough after installing the new furnace and bringing the house back down to temp, the compressor failed within hours.

As a homeowner I was skeptical.feeling like they may have done something to hasten its failure. A difficult situation and conversation to say the least. After sending technicians back out for three hours, they could not resurrect it. Initial conversations were that prices had gone up since original quotes and it would take a month to get in the midst of peak cooling season. Kudos to the sales associate Jason who knew it was not going to sit well if that was the best they could do.

Rather than press the issue he escalated to management. Robbie, (one of the managers) stepped in, contacted Carrier, and sourced a unit that could be installed that same day. In addition, rather than try to get me for the original quote or more, Robbie discounted the system and got it qualified for a Carrier complete system rebate. It is in the difficult times that you learn the most about people or companies.

What I appreciate is that they did the right thing without my having to raise my voice or threaten them with negative reviews, etc. I will certainly consider them for future projects and would recommend you do the same.

They arrived to figure out where a sewer gas odor was coming from. Turns out, it's because our new home had been vacant for a few years. They didn't have to do any work, so we weren't charged. That being said, they still took a moment to crawl under the house to check for leaks.

We have been using Wood fin for our primary heating contractor for over 40 years. They perform our annual furnace service. This year we noticed that a pressure relief valve was leaking and had the service tech look at it when he was out for our annual, he stated that we needed a new expansion tank as it was causing the pressure relief valve to drip.

They gave us a estimate for the work which was over $500.00 to replace a $135.00 expansion tank. I know materials are high right now and supply is sometimes limited, but seriously, this was ridiculous. I will be writing Woodfin a letter to let them know how I feel and that I feel we were taken advantage of. Not a rosy scenario by any means.

Easily was able to schedule a free estimate during a time-frame that worked for me after work. Looking to get my 10+ year old water heater replaced, and as a new homeowner, I knew little to nothing. Technician called me when he was on his way and arrived masked, and with boot covers to not track in any dirt! Loved the thoughtfulness. Technician quickly analyzed my water heater, took measurements, and answered any questions I had about the pros/cons of buying a new heater when my old one was still in working shape.

I was emailed a copy of my estimate within 12 hours. It was also nice to know that Woodfin had worked in my condominium complex before (Rocketts Landing), so they were familiar with my set-up.

Oh, Woodfin. You tried to scam over the wrong woman. I called Woodfin because our downstairs wasn't heating properly. Woodfin told me my system was so broken that I'd need a complete replacement for $10K-$20K. Long story short, nothing was broken it just needed a cleaning and I got my unit fixed by someone else for $100. Here's the whole story. Woodfin sent a technician out to provide standard maintenance on both units.

After he serviced our upstairs unit, he informed us that our whole downstairs unit would need replacing. They said the compressor wasn't working. To repair the compressor, it would cost $3K. And then the rest of the unit could still go bad. He recommended we replace everything for an estimated cost of $10K. He also said we really should get our upstairs unit replaced as well for an additional $10K.

He tried to make it out like he was doing us a favor and kept pushing an offer they were currently running. I called my dad immediately who has been a machinist for 40 years. My dad met us at our house the next day when Woodfin sent out Josh Honeycutt. Josh was here to give us a final quote on what the technician diagnosed as the problem. When he got here, Josh was telling us information about our heat pump.

My dad chimed in. "That's not the heat pump they have." Josh then stuttered and seemed to sift through his files and then told us he didn't have our report. Let me repeat. HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT HEAT PUMP WE HAD and was about to quote me on the cost. We all then went outside. Within 5 mins, Josh was sweating. My dad was asking him question after question. Josh tried to back up the technician's diagnosis and my dad quickly explained how it wasn't even feasible that that was the issue. Josh admitted he didn't know the technical stuff and quickly called for back up.

My dad also pointed out Woodfin didn't even clean our upstairs unit's coils (even though we paid them $89), left the refrigerant tab off, and even left the door open to our crawl space in below freezing temperatures. I got another person out here. $100 and my unit is working perfectly. It was just low on refrigerant and needed to be cleaned. Oh, and Woodfin told me to refill the refrigerant it would cost $200/lb. Again, I paid $100 to have it cleaned and have refrigerant put in and now my heat pump works like a charm. Woodfin tried to send out a senior technician in which I declined and after speaking with the manager, Donnie Gerald, got my $89 back because again, they never actually cleaned it. Donnie assured me he'd reprimand the employees involved.

A few days later, I get a call from Josh asking if they ever sent out a senior technician to come back out. He was unaware of any issue. So, Woodfin, how are you going to have someone give me a final quote who doesn't know how things work and who didn't even have our file? I am intrigued to see customer service's reply to this. I'm also excited to see how you respond to my complaint on BBB.

You will not do this to other people ever again. Customer to customer advice. All these companies majorly mark prices of replacement parts. For example, our circuit board would cost $700 from a company like this. In reality, they can buy it for $65. Their mark-ups are ridiculous. If they say you need a replacement part, call up the manufacturer or do a quick Google search. See the real price. Don't let them do this. And don't use Woodfin.

There is an ice storm this weekend. I got my propane fireplace filled Friday. It was empty so i need a leak test. Why didn't Woodfin do the leak test while they were here? Why don't all the filler know how to do a leak test? The rep called me while I was at work. "Well, I don't think they have time to come back". Mind you, they charge my card $360 to fill the tank, yet I cannot use it because they turned it off. There's an ice storm! Am I working for you or is it the other way around? Anyway, they can't come back till the middle of next week during working hours.

What a fleecing of a single I spent $7000 for a propane fireplace in 2019 and it's been a hassle every step of the way (expect when it come to debiting my checks and credit cards). When Woodfin has you over a barrel they have you at their mercy. Luckily my Heat from my HVAC still works.

Hunter came out to the property to inspect the furnace and after 30 minutes he said the whole entire furnace needs to be replace and I would only have to pay for labor, which was over 1,500.00. I could tell the young man did not know what he was talking about. So, I had another company come out. White Glove Plumbing - Heating & Air and Nick inspected the furnace and simply said what piece needs to be replaced which cost me less than 200.00 for everything.my heat works perfectly, thanks to Nick.

Woodfin theoretically serviced our AC units for two separate cooling systems in 2017 & 2018. The units were installed in 2015 & 2016. One unit was not cooling in 2020. The new technician said that the units were never properly cleaned. The situation was reviewed with the Woodfin supervisor who took NO responsibility. We called today about a potentially leaking radiator.

We had a potential Covid19 exposure and are awaiting test results early next week. We were informed that the technician would not visit our home for 2 weeks after a negative test result. When I called, the customer service rep all the information upfront. She apparently was not listening and the information had to be repeated multiple times.

We renovated our kitchen that required removing the existing plumbing in one step, then installing new plumbing. They gave us the best quote out of three, but screwed up and needed to come back twice to fix problems. Their response was great. They're big enough to absorb mistakes, but small enough to respond.

Requested a service to include a premium rate to troubleshoot my propane heater recently installed by woodfin. Was told they cannot see me until Jan 5th (2 weeks away). For a company that prides themselves on being 24hr, and a customer willing to pay overtime/premium rates to have operating appliances, i believe this to be acceptable. Furthermore, they installed equipment (propane tank and regulator) and if the problem exists with the equipment they provided I would believe it's their due diligence to correct the issue free of cost immediately.

The plumbing experience I had with this company was the worst. The plumber that came to my house charged over $500 to unclog my toilet, told us he snaked all the way to the street. so not true. I ended up calling them back out the next day less than 24 hours and they told me, no warranty on unclogs, pay another 300 and we will use the camera this time.

I still feel like I was robbed by this company. Especially since calling someone else, they even concluded the plumber never did what he said he did the first time. Yet his boss defended him. With this company, the customer is NEVER right.

I called Woodfin to help me solve the heat problem upstairs. They worked with me, explained all my options and helped me choose the right one. I paid a small fortune for my two wall mounted AC units upstairs but let me tell you.they have been wonderful. I can now set my downstairs at 70 and it stays cool since it doesn't have to cool the upstairs.

I had been setting it at 65 in order to cool the upstairs. And it has made all the difference in the world upstairs. My electric bill this month was.ready for it.$80 less than last month and it's been hot outside. I may not live long enough to recoup the cost but I will gladly take the monthly savings while I can. I highly recommend the wall mounted units and Woodfin! Woodfin for the win

Originally had Woodfin check out my two heat pumps (AC). Within the next month both capacitors went out and both units were found to be 3+ lbs low on freon. While I understand capacitors go out from time to time the low freon should have been caught during the initial service call.

Great for propane, plumbing prices / quote process was awful. Nice things first, their propane tank gas prices and service are excellent, and superior in every way to AmeriGas as far as I can tell. No complaints, easy billing, even the tank rental is included if you buy enough propane. Plumbing was worse. It took a call to the manager to get them to honor the prices on the estimate for installing a new toilet.

I was given an estimate on a service call (which has its own fee). When I only wanted some work done, I was told the prices included some sort of bundle discount which was never told to me originally. But step back - they wanted $117 (as part of the supposed bundle!) just to replace a toilet handle. That's a $10 part and what half an hour of labor?

I had them install a different toilet (which I wonder how necessary it was) and the leaky shutoff valve (which was the reason for the call) but I don't think I'd use them for plumbing again. Maybe I just don't understand plumbing business models but I feel like there should be a labor charge, and a part charge - and those should both be reasonable and itemized. Anyway, I didn't even call them for my latest toilet fix (new flapper and fill valve); DIY for a $10 amazon part and about 45 minutes of work.

OUTRAGEOUS FEES for the work performed. In the past month they've charged me just shy of $600 to clear two AC condensation lines. First visit 20 minutes, second visit 10 minutes. I kid you not.

Removed our old systems and installed new. Excellent work and couldn't be happier with them. No hidden costs, no pressure, we needed our systems replaced as they were in very bad shape, almost burned the house down at one point. The installers even offered to spread the 7 stone I bought for the heat pumps to sit on. As far as the attic install the only thing I would have asked different is the drain hose just barely gets in the way of the filter media door but still, not a big deal.

As far as the subfloor air handler location, they had to cut a section of drain pipe to get it installed and they patched it up and all is good. Highly recommend them and when we build our home they will be doing the install for sure.
